The Australian Good Design Awards are the country’s oldest and most prestigious international awards for design and innovation. The Awards celebrate the best new products and services on the Australian and international market, and this year attracted a record number of submissions with 933 design projects.
Solar Cube is an excellent example of an innovation-led solution to support the increase in deployment of renewable energy into the Australian energy network. The product brings significant enhancements like its rapid deployment and has immediate application for remote locations, delivering a valuable power source to those who need it.
With deployment in under 90 minutes, Solar Qube is the only SAPS of its kind within Australia and offers power utilities an innovative utility-grade solution for remote or hard-to-reach communities. As a modular design, it can be factory preassemble to fit standardised shipping container specifications for easy transportation.
This deployment time can be a vital element for our customers as it has been identified that power outages are frequently caused during natural disasters. Rural and suburban environments can utilise Solar Qube’s rapid response power solution to assist communities after floods or fires have damaged the existing networks.
